Quality carcass and non-carcass are two inseparable components that result from slaughtering animals with high economic value. The aims study is effect of polimorfisme DGAT1 gene on hot cold carcass, neck traits in Indonesia sheep. A total 50 rams used this were collected 10 Barbados Cross Sheep (BCS), Compass Agrinac (CAS), 15 Javanese Thin-Tailed (JTTS), Jonggol (JS). sheep slaughtered at 10-12 months old an average body weight 20.45 kg. Identification the polymorphism was performed by Polymerase Chain Reaction-Restriction Fragment Length Polymorphism (PCR-RFLP). breed described using a T-test. showed we found genotypes: CC (466 bp), CT (76, 390, 466 bp) polymorphisms (g.8539 C>T) Hardy-Weinberg Equilibrium (HWE). had significant (P<0.05) neck.
